Save

    • Save with project settings
    • can save undo history.
  • *.zpt TOOL / Ctrl + Shift + T / Tool > Save As
    • Only 3d file (tool).

  • *.obj - 1 subtool Tool > Export
  • *.obj - All Zpluginds > PrintHub > ExportAll // polygroups > H Groups
  • *.fbx - Zplugins > FBX // Export polygroups as material > shop_materialpath
  • Save document - only 2.5d useless.

    Scale

    Zbrush object scale should be close to: 2 Tools > Geometry > Size: Tools > Export settings : Reset to 1, 0 ,0 ,0 To scale mesh:

  • Plugin Transpose Master > T-pose Mesh
  • Tools Deformation > Unify (center obj )
  • T-Pose Sub-T to back to modeling

  • mirror. (Deformation > menu )You need to use both sometimes.

    Hide

  • Shift + Ctrl inside - Hide Not selected

Topology

Subdivisions:

    Dynamesh:

  • Ctrl + Drag outside - Dynamesh

Use dynamesh ! (tool> geometry>dynamesh) Ctrl + move outside

  • final model not dynamesh ed !!!!

    ZRemesher:

    Tools > Geometry
    ZRemesher is an quad retopology tool. Nice topo flow. Meant to make good topo.

    Decimation Master:

    ZPlugins > Decimation master Decimation Master (polyreduce) is meant to optimize the point count of the mesh without sacrificing detail.

    Stroke > SculptisPro Adaptive sculpting for mid poly elements (up to 0,5 mil poly). Don’t work with other tools.

Workflow

UV Master !!!! Motph target from tools store, and then paint brush morph target

Project (regenerate subdiv leveles):

  • Geometry > Z remesh
  • Zplugins > uvMaster > Unvrap with polygroups to make islands
  • Divide Ctrl + D to make more topo
  • 1) Go back to orginal with history (orange) - Ctrl + LMB to have gray marker - Subtool > Projevt > Project History
  • 2) Project all

Thin surfaces

  • Automasking: Automasking > backface mask
  • Create Thickness: tools StoreMT (morph target) » inflate » create differnt mesh

Alpha bake

  • Create Plane3d (polymesh3d)
  • Document Resize > 512
  • align plane : Drag with Shift to see FRONT then press F to focus

Tillable textures

  • Brushes > Curve > Wrap mode » 1
  • make 1 plane > name it camera > F to focus on 1 plane
  • make 2 plane (bigger) > polymesh and sculpt

Noise

  • use surface noise as mask !! and brush places with clay buildup !!
